Selena Raquel Lynch Miss Haliwa Saponi Indian Princess 2017-2018

Naha : pi Pi (Good day)

Hello everyone!  My name is Selena Raquel Lynch and I am proud to say that I am your outgoing Miss Haliwa-Saponi 2017-2018.  This year has been an amazing, eye-opeing experience that I wish every teenage girl could have.  I have had the opportunity to be a very influential role model to generations of both men and women across the state.  I am ecstatic to say that I am the very first Miss Haliwa-Saponi to represent my tribe at the NCAI State of Indian Nations to give the invocation.  I have also served as Head Lady Dancer at various pow-wows throughout the year.  I have had the honor to meet various new people, princesses, and tribal leaders throughout my reign as Miss Haliwa-Saponi this year.  I would like to thank everyone whom I have not got the chance to thank, and the people who I have already thanked, for everything that they have done for me this year.  Whether the support was emotionally, physically, and even financially, I appreciate everything.  I would like to thank my parents, for pushing me throughout this entire journey; my sister for being there for me when things seemed as if they were never ending; and my friends and family for being my backbone through it all.  I know that the next Miss Haliwa-Saponi will have no problem representing our tribe to the best of her abilities, while enjoying every second of her reign.  Always remember to keep God first, and family next!  Thank you to everyone who has played a part in making our pow-wow a success, and I look forward to 53 more years of Haliwa-Saponi Pow-wows to come!  I love you all, and thank you for joining us this weekend.  Stay blessed!

Pi : lahuk:  Thank you
