Rydell was born and raised in Warren County, North Carolina. He is the son of Doris Norman and Genola Richardson, and the grandson of Bell B. and Virginia “BC” Richardson and Horace and Nancy Silver. Rydell is the proud father of one son, Darin Richardson. He is a member of the Mt. Bethel Indian Baptist Church where he volunteers to cook at church functions for the senior citizens and the children of our community. Rydell volunteers at our Haliwa-Saponi Pow Wow, as well. Since 2000, he has volunteered to work at the voting polls during every election. Rydell offers his time and service to help those in need around our community.
Rydell is a plumber by trade and has worked in farming, construction, and plumbing. Rydell enjoys singing, fishing, cooking, and gardening.
Norman Rydell Richardson is dedicated to the people of his community and looks forward to serving the people of the Haliwa-Saponi Tribe as his forefathers have done.
