HALIWA-SAPONI DAY CARE CENTER

 

The Haliwa-Saponi Day Care Center is owned and operated by the Haliwa-Saponi Tribe.  We are currently maintaining a 3 – Star license issued by the State of North Carolina.  Our curriculum is primarily based on the Creative Curriculum.    

Our goal is provide a healthy, loving and educational environment for children of all ethnic backgrounds.  We will endeavor to give each child the opportunity to express himself/herself creatively and to develop verbal skills, physical abilities and the attributes of sharing and cooperation. These skills are developed through the following learning centers/activities:  Art, Language, Math, Writing, Housekeeping, Playground, Blocks, Science, Movement, Sand/Water Play/Work Bench, Music, and Etc.  These skills will not only foster personal independence, but also social responsibility. 

 

ELIGIBILITY AND ACCEPTANCE REQUIREMENTS

Children 4 weeks – 5 years of age are eligible for enrollment.  Our infant/toddler room accepts children ages 4 weeks to 2 years that are not potty trained.  We also provide a Pre-k room that offers care for children ages 2 to 5 years of age and are potty trained.  When our center is at full capacity we maintain a waiting list for enrollment.

Children are accepted in our center through Private Pay, County Department of Social Services, and Community College Child Care Scholarships.

Our childcare rates for children in our infant/toddler room are $412.00 per month or $95.00 per week.  Our rates for children in our pre-k room are $390.00 per month or $90.00 per week.  We also, provide transportation to and from our center at the rates of:  $42.00 per month for the infant/toddler room and $38.00 per month in the pre-k room.

 

Operation

Operating hours for the center are from 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Monday – Friday.
