Miss Stephanie Richardson

Stephanie Richardson, Miss Haliwa-Saponi 2007-2008, is the 18 year old daughter of Johnnie Ray and Cheryl Richardson.  Stephanie is a junior at the Haliwa-Saponi Tribal School, where she is the President of the Student Government Association and a member of the Native American Dance Team.  Stephanie is also an area representative for the North Carolina Native American Youth Organization (NCNAYO).  She is also a volunteer firefighter with the Arcola Rural Fire Department.  Her plans for the future include enlisting in the US Air Force, and attending college to pursue a degree in Film.

She is honored to serve as the Haliwa-Saponi Tribal Princess.  During her reign she plans to educate young children on the culture and traditions of her people.  She also intends to speak to children with learning disabilities and encourage them to work hard and reach their goals.  Her reign as tribal princess is dedicated to her parents who have greatly supported her through this journey.
