     Vice Chief Howard Richardson is married to Gwendolyn Richardson who is the second grade teacher at the Haliwa-Saponi Tribal School. They have been married for 19 years and have two children Amber and Matthew.  Howard graduated with honors from Northwest High School in 1982 and Nash Technical Institute in 1985 with an associate degree in Electronic Engineering. He has been working for 20 years in the two-way radio business. His business provides two-way radio communications to law enforcement, fire rescue and commercial businesses.

     Howard is involved in the Awards Banquet Committee, Scholarship Committee, Self Monitoring Committee, Building Committee and Member and Enrollment Committees.

     In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing, beadwork, attending cultural events and powwows.
