Miss Haliwa-Saponi Indian Princess 2011 - 2012
Danielle Marie Leonard

Hi, I am Danielle Marie Leonard. I currently hold the title "Miss Haliwa-Saponi 2011-2012".
It has been an honor to represent the Haliwa-Saponi tribe this year. I have had the opportunity to represent our people of the Haliwa-Saponi Tribe at many different functions including Pow Wows, conferences, meetings, and other tribal affiliated events. I encourage the youth to get involved with the cultural activities in the community, or in some activity that you enjoy in the community, and stay away from drugs, alcohol, and smoking.
Youth you should respect your elders for they are our past and have wisdom to pass on to us and Elders should respect and give guidance and share your wisdom with our youth for we are the future generation. Thank you, the Haliwa-Saponi Tribe for allowing me to represent you and I thank God for he kept me safe during my travels and events. I thank my family for their support which made it possible for me to serve you and I thank all those who supported me in any way this past year. I ask for your continued support as I continue to serve as the reigning 2011-2012 Haliwa-Saponi Princess.
